It would be a privileged for CBS<\/b> to have the opportunity in assisting your facility in developing Training, Education, Policy, Procedures, and possible Re-Billing of LMRP (LCD\u2019s<\/b>) and ABN\u2019s<\/b> procedures.\u00a0 CBS<\/b> has a great understanding of the importance in developing this particular portion of Medical Billing, Admission, and Registration.<\/p>\n

Having worked with other facilities on this same subject matter, CBS<\/b> has developed key training and education techniques that will develop and improve the \u201cfront end\u201d of the admission and registration department which deals with the day-to-day issues involving LMRP (LCD\u2019s)<\/b> and ABN\u2019s<\/b> procedures.\u00a0 CBS<\/b> encourages those employees, directly involved with this area of concern, to relay their dilemmas to CBS<\/b>; and we will work together as a team to create policy and procedures that will work universally within all outpatient departments and their admission and registration areas.<\/p>\n

In regards to the \u201cback end\u201d process or the billing office, CBS<\/b> has, again, developed ideal ways to identify procedures that are possible LMRP (LCD\u2019s)<\/b> and\/or ABN\u2019s<\/b> issues.\u00a0 By working alongside your facilities employees within said department, CBS<\/b> will analyze and identify their concerns.\u00a0 With constant communication and team effort, we will develop policies and procedures that will work with any \u201cback end\u201d software your facility chooses to implement.<\/p>\n

CBS <\/b>has been able to recapture revenue previously thought as either \u201cNon-Covered<\/b>\u201d or \u201cContractual Adjustments<\/b>\u201d going back as far as 18 months from the DOS<\/b> on Medicare claims.\u00a0 The success rates have been overwhelming with our clients regarding this project, and they have been surprised in the amount CBS<\/b> has been able to recover in lost revenue.<\/p>\n

As CBS<\/b> focuses on the facility with LMRP (LCD\u2019s) <\/b>and ABN\u2019s<\/b> issues, this project will not be successful without the proper training and education of the physicians.\u00a0 CBS <\/b>has developed a specific training program by our compliance attorneys for all physicians, regardless of their specialty. The CBS<\/b> legal department lays out in specific detail the rules and regulations required by CMS and the OIG<\/b> regarding the physician\u2019s involvement with LMRP (LCD\u2019s) <\/b>and ABN\u2019s<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The following is detailed description of its services regarding LMRP (LCD\u2019s) and ABN\u2019s procedures<\/b>: <\/span><\/p>\n

Assessment of Current Procedures:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

CBS<\/b> will require meeting with the following crucial employees to assess the current procedures involving LMRP (LCD\u2019s) <\/b>and ABN\u2019s<\/b> for each facility:<\/p>\n

* Admission Director * Registration Manager or Director <\/b><\/p>\n

* IS for LMRP (LCD\u2019s)\/ABN\u2019s Software * All Registration\/Admission Employees<\/b><\/p>\n

* Lab Director or Manager * Radiology Director or Manager<\/b><\/p>\n

* All other Directors or Managers of any other Out Patient Service the facility provides.<\/b><\/p>\n

CBS<\/b> can meet with these key department directors\/managers and their employees by department, allowing CBS<\/b> to verify how each department\u2019s procedures function with one another and most importantly, what each department assumes the other department has in process.\u00a0 CBS<\/b> has found from past analysis that one department generally believes another department is fulfilling certain processes, when in fact\u2026they\u2019re not.<\/p>\n
